I have been traveling due to work and I am finally back!!! I was able to keep on track with my workout for the run less run faster program. Today was my long run and I am happy that I was able to get back on my routine. I had everything set up and ready to go, the only glitch….I left my forerunner on all night and it ran out of battery. Needless to say I was upset with myself but said “brush it off, it’s time to run”. According to the program I was supposed to run my long tempo at 10:32 min/ mile. I felt good during the whole run. I am looking forward to following this program and see the results I am looking for ( which is to run a half marathon).
I am hoping I can coordinate with my husband for this upcoming weekend a 5k run. I should be able to know for sure by Tuesday. I really hope I can do this 5K. I was reading so many posts on many people that I know that they completed a 5K this past weekend and did really well. I am happy for all of them and I am biting at the bit to complete one myself.
Challenges this past week has been my nutrition. Since I was at a meeting the
choices were VERY VERY difficult and I fell very short. There was so much pasta
and tempting foods. I was so hungry!! So I told myself do the best you can but you stay on track with your workouts! and that I did!!
I am also so excited to buy some new running clothes. I want to get something trendy. I was looking at the athena website but WOW! expensive! I will look for new avenue’s and sales. I will blog about some styles once I find them.
